That's a perfect opportunity for Lor to bombard him with questions regarding Niki leaving, her brother and the world outside! Frou seems much more straightfoward than Niki so if Lor plays her hand right (ie. I assume she'd just need to directly ask), she'll be getting a goldmine worth of information.
Book's sadly not in yet... Well, it wasn't supposed to be for at least one more week, but one can hope it'll get here faster anyway! :)
Although the book is the original for you (and the 'real' original of course), to all your readers the comic is actually the original version as it is what we'll have seen first. While I'm expecting the book to be a great and enjoyable read (I love the Stitches storyline and I also like your writing style from your Deviant Art stories), I'd be surprised if I end up prefering the book version to the comic version.
If I surprisingly end up prefering the book version to the comic version, odds are it'll be the best book I'll have ever read. I'm not realistically expecting that as I'm 'just' expecting a great entertaining read but who knows? We'll see once I finish reading it!
It's a bit sad to think about the end of Stitches. Every good thing comes to an end, but I can't shake the feeling that there's a definitive chance that the end isn't far away. The festival is most likely a key element, and so is the whole leaving Angel Institue (Both are probably linked together). We know the festival is very near, and if Lor leaves succesfully soon afterward, then Stitches might simply end at that point. For example if it's written in 1st person:
"I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and took a small step foward. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. She was right! I took a few more steps with more confidence, and yet again the wall did not stop me. I slowly opened my eyes in delight to gaze at this immense, beautiful world that has always been kept away from me... Niki surrounded by happily fluttering butterflies was the first sight of my wonderful new life. The End."
Or something like that. Of course, I might be wrong on any number of counts. Lor might be taking a whole lot more time before actually leaving. Or she might fail leaving and there's a whole lot more stuff before she retries / Angel Institute blow up. Or Stitches might continue a fair bit after they leave the Institute. I do think that the end isn't too far away, but I certainly hope I'm wrong.
But no matter what's the case... Stitches better be having an happy ending!!! *shakes fist for more emphasis*
I got the book today surprisingly enough! It's probably the first time ever that I get shipping estimate horribly wrong, but at my advantage.
It's a nice-looking little book. I didn't read any yet, except for two things...
A) The first few lines to check if it's written in first person or not. It's not written in first person so my supposed ending is obviously wrong.
B) I was unfortunately right about something... I couldn't help myself and checked if the chapter name and numbers matched the comic, and it does perfectly, and then I checked how many chapters total there are... And... *snif* I was unfortunately right on one count.
While I did lack self control by checking how many chapters there are, I at least have enough not to spoil myself the ending or anything (All I know is the last chapter number and name which is fortunately not spoilerish at all), so going to be starting my read on page 1 :)
